Already enrolled at NMSU Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Doña Ana, or Grants? Current NMSU students can continue their education through NMSU Global Campus with a simple Change of Campus Form — no application required!
If it’s been more than two consecutive terms since you last enrolled, you’ll apply as a Returning Student instead.
Are you currently taking classes elsewhere, or returning after time away from school?
If you already have unofficial copies of your transcripts, you’re ready to get started. Include them with your request to receive your free unofficial evaluation.
Unofficial Transcript Evaluation Request
Don’t have unofficial transcripts? No problem. Many colleges let you download them for free through your student portal or Registrar’s Office.
If you can’t access unofficial copies, you can still submit a free application, and we’ll help you request official transcripts through a service like Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. After you’re admitted, we’ll complete a free official evaluation, so you know exactly which credits transfer before deciding whether to enroll in classes.
Your military training, education, and service may count toward your degree. We’re proud to support military members and veterans as they continue their education at NMSU Global Campus.
If you served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or Coast Guard, you can request your Joint Services Transcript (JST) to have your military coursework evaluated. Air Force and Space Force veterans can request transcripts through the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF).

Here’s what to expect as you prepare to start your degree at NMSU Global Campus.
Step 1: Review Transfer Requirements
Start by reviewing the Admissions Requirements for your transfer pathway.
Step 2: Apply to NMSU Global Campus
Current NMSU Students: If you’re currently enrolled at NMSU Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Dona Ana, or Grants, or attended within the last two consecutive terms, you only need to submit a Change of Campus Form.
Returning NMSU Students: If you’ve been away for more than two consecutive terms, you’ll apply as a Returning Student.
Other Colleges or Universities: Submit your free online application to NMSU Global Campus. It takes about 10 minutes to complete, and you can apply using unofficial copies of your transcripts.
Step 3: Complete Your FAFSA
If you plan to use financial aid, fill out your FAFSA and include the NMSU school code (002657). For help transferring financial aid from another institution, our Financial Aid Advisors can guide you through the process.
Step 4: Submit Official Transcripts
Once you’re admitted, we’ll use the official transcripts or e-transcripts from each college or university you’ve attended to confirm exactly which credits apply toward your degree.

If you’re transferring from another college or university, or from an NMSU community college campus, you’ll need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 to be admitted to NMSU Global Campus. If you’re transferring credits from a college or university outside the United States, you must submit a Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE) report. After you apply and submit your required documents, we’ll review your international transfer credits as part of the evaluation process.
