Accessible Online Coursework

Rita D. is proud to be a recent graduate of the popular Master of Social Work program at NMSU Global Campus. She appreciated receiving “a quality education” and especially loved studying for her MSW in a modern, digital learning environment. As a person with a disability, it was important to Rita to find a school that adapted to her needs instead of the other way around.

“I love NMSU Global Campus,” Rita shares, “because it broke down the barriers to accessibility so I could finish my degree.”

This is not Rita’s first time around as an Aggie. A first-generation college graduate, Rita earned her bachelor’s degree at New Mexico State University’s main campus in Las Cruces.

However, Rita remembers that attending classes in person was a challenge during her undergraduate studies. So, when it came time to enroll in a master’s program, Rita opted for online learning. “I didn’t have to travel to campus and do in-person classes,” she recalls. “With NMSU Global Campus, I could do it online at my own pace.”

“I love NMSU Global Campus because it broke down the barriers to accessibility so I could finish my degree.”

Learn at Home on Your Schedule

NMSU Global Campus provides innovative ways to learn from the comfort of home. We respect that our online learners are adults who need the freedom to adapt their education to their specific circumstances.

Many NMSU Global Campus students are managing family and work responsibilities, as well as living with an injury or disability, or facing other unexpected life changes. As Rita explains, “You can do it online… at home in your own environment that you’re used to.”

Here For You, Every Step of the Way

Happily, Rita found the sense of “work-life balance” she was looking for. She hit her stride at NMSU Global Campus, where our flexible, supportive faculty helped Rita work toward her academic and professional goals.

“I had a lot of challenges just adjusting to my disability and the learning experience because I had a brain injury,” Rita reflects. “I had to find different learning strategies so I could adapt and persevere.”
