The NMSU Global Campus MA in Sociology gives you a solid foundation of analytical skills, as well as a deeper understanding of social factors that help build effective organizations and better communities. We help you promote a more just society, focusing on various social, economic, and cultural issues that impact people locally, nationally, and globally.

The MA in Sociology offers both a thesis and non-thesis program. Regardless of which program you choose, you will take a minimum of 36 credit hours of graduate work. The program offers rolling admissions, with 16-week courses offered in Fall and Spring and 5-week courses available in Summer.
Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA (or 2.5+ for provisional acceptance) and a well-written statement of purpose addressing graduate school objectives and interests.

The GRE is not required, but you may need to take prerequisites prior to gaining admission. NMSU Global Campus is currently admitting Sociology students on a rolling basis throughout the year.
