NMSU Global Campus MVP promotes lifelong learning and professional development among our military and veteran students and their dependents by offering:

  • A dedicated MVP team and approach, providing support from admission to graduation
  • Transfer process for military credits that count toward your degree
  • Priority registration for military and Veteran students
  • Specialized workshops and coaching to help you promote within the military or prepare for a civilian career
  • A dedicated Department of Veterans Affairs representative to assist with any VA needs and benefits questions
  • Aggie Green Zone Training, to educate faculty and staff about the leadership and unique talents that military students bring to the classroom

Military Admissions and Benefits

NMSU Global Campus offers over 90 bachelor’s, master’s, graduate certificates, and doctoral programs within the NMSU system. These programs are 100% online and designed to serve students with busy schedules across time zones, career paths, and family commitments.

Review military and Veteran processes and policies in the Academic Catalog as you begin your admissions process. 

Before applying to NMSU Global Campus, speak with your military service or Educational Services Officer to know your education options and make an informed decision. Please be aware of the following NMSU admission and registration process:

  1. Complete the online application appropriate for your program and degree level.
  2. Once admitted, active-duty students must provide Military and Veterans Programs with supporting documentation for the $250 active-duty military rate.
  3. Register for classes via my.NMSU.edu.
  4. Request Tuition Assistance through your service online portal (criteria vary by military branch).

  • Identify programs at NMSU Global Campus that are eligible for VA benefits
  • Participate in courses while VA payments are pending (in accordance with Title 38 US Code 3679(e))
  • Receive the appropriate DoD active-duty tuition assistance rate of $250 per credit
  • Evaluate and receive academic credit for military experience
