The NMSU Global Campus Criminal Justice degree program is broadly interdisciplinary in nature, embracing the study of the humanities, law, natural, behavioral, and social sciences. About the Department of Criminal Justice
The Department of Criminal Justice was founded in 1962 and is recognized as one of the nation’s best and oldest programs in criminal justice. Our mission is to offer quality experiential learning, faculty-led and diverse research, and interdisciplinary curriculum in undergraduate and graduate educational programming. Here, students develop knowledge and valuable insights that shape and regulate policies in the criminal justice system. The department supports scholarly, experiential, and applied research endeavors and collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, law enforcement, criminal corrections and punishment, justice and law studies, juvenile and social justice, and immigration and the Borderlands.
