The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in applied exercise science at NMSU Global Campus offers a focused approach to understanding human movement. You’ll study the science behind physical performance, including how exercise influences health, movement, and overall well-being.

Exercise science is an ideal kinesiology track for students pursuing careers in allied health fields such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic, or athletic training. It also provides the foundational knowledge needed for careers in strength and conditioning, personal training, and wellness coaching.

The BS in Kinesiology program consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits, with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.

Developmental coursework will not count toward the degree requirements and/or elective credits but may be needed in order to take the necessary English and Mathematics coursework. General education courses occur during the full 16-week Fall and Spring Terms, while all kinesiology courses are offered during the 8-week mini-semesters in fall, spring, and summer.
