In the Graduate Certificate in Public Health program at NMSU Global Campus, you’ll deepen your knowledge of public health policy. Study the social, behavioral, and educational aspects of disease prevention and health promotion, and learn to apply statistical and epidemiological principles to infectious and noninfectious diseases.
In this 100% online program, you’ll also analyze various factors that influence the operation of health organizations, particularly in relation to administrative logistics, financial responsibilities, and healthcare quality. Environmental health issues are also presented through the lens of public health.
Once you have completed the program, you’re eligible to sit for the Certified Public Health (CPH) examination.

The Graduate Certificate in Public Health consists of 15 credits. There are four required courses for the program:

In addition to the above courses, you’ll also take one elective. If you haven’t taken any statistics courses, we strongly recommend that you complete PHLS 5120: Biostatistical Applications in Public Health as your elective.
