In the MECE program at NMSU Global Campus, you’ll receive a holistic and well-rounded civil engineering education. This 100% online program offers electives in environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, water resources and agricultural engineering, and transportation and construction.
As you work toward your degree, you’ll have the opportunity to take classes in each of these five subject areas — or, if you prefer, you may hone in on two of them to gain strong expertise in your specializations. No matter which option you choose, you’ll learn how to apply complex civil engineering concepts to practical, real-world scenarios.

The coursework-only Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree requires a total of 30-31 credits. This includes seven electives in civil, environmental, and/or agricultural engineering (21-22 credits) and one general elective course (3 credits). You’ll also have the option to take up to two electives from engineering disciplines outside the department, or other areas of interest outside the college.
