Unique emphasis on serving the Southwest
NMSU's Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree program prepares our students with the knowledge, values, and skills essential for professional social work practice in a multicultural society.
The BSW program prepares you for a beginning professional level of generalist social work practice with an understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity of the Southwest. Students gain an exemplary education in developing and applying culturally relevant, evidence-informed practices with social work clients and communities, particularly in the Southwest region of the United States.
