The Bachelor of Social Work program consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits, with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.

Developmental coursework will not count toward the degree requirements and/or elective credits but may be needed in order to take the necessary English and Mathematics coursework.
Admissions requirements for the Bachelor of Social Work program include:

- 2 letters of reference using the template provided to you

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work degree program at NMSU Global Campus have the opportunity to participate in the Child Welfare Scholar Program (CWSP). This program offers unique scholarship opportunities for BSW students interested in working for the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department – Protective Services Division (CYFD) upon graduation.
